नज़ाकत तो देखिये:

मैं उस किताब का आख़िरी पन्ना था,
मैं ना होता तो कहानी ख़त्म न होती.

सख़्त हाथों से भी छूट जाती हैं कभी उंगलियाँ..
रिश्ते ज़ोर से नहीं तमीज़ से थामे जाते हैं..

नजाकत तो देखिये, की सूखे पत्ते ने डाली से कहा....
चुपके से अलग करना वरना लोगो का रिश्तों से भरोसा उठ जायेगा....

प्रोफ़ेसर:

क्लास रूम में प्रोफेसर ने एक सीरियस टॉपिक पर चर्चा
प्रारंभ की।
.
जैसे ही वे ब्लैकबोर्ड पर कुछ लिखने के लिए पलटे तो तभी
एक शरारती छात्र ने सीटी बजाई।
.
प्रोफेसर ने पलटकर सारी क्लास को घूरते हुए सीटी
किसने मारी पूछा,
लेकिन किसी ने जवाब नहीं दिया।
.
प्रोफेसर ने शांति से अपना सामान समेटा और आज की
क्लास समाप्त बोलकर, बाहर की तरफ बढ़े।
.
स्टूडेंट्स खुश हो गए कि, चलो अब फ्री हैं।
.
अचानक प्रोफेसर रुके, वापस अपनी टेबल पर पहुँचे और
बोले---" चलो, मैं तुम्हें एक कहानी सुनाता हूँ ,
इससे हमारे बचे हुए समय का उपयोग भी हो जाएगा। "
.
सभी स्टूडेंट्स उत्सुकता और इंटरेस्ट के साथ कहानी सुनने
लगे।
.
प्रोफेसर बोले---" कल रात मुझे नींद नहीं आ रही
थी तो मैंने सोचा कि, कार में पेट्रोल भरवाकर ले आता हूँ
जिससे सुबह मेरा समय बच जाएगा।
.
पेट्रोल पम्प से टैंक फुल कराकर मैं आधी रात को
सूनसान पड़ी सड़कों पर ड्राइव का आनंद लेने लगा।
.
अचानक एक चौराहे के कार्नर पर मुझे एक बहुत खूबसूरत
लड़की शानदार ड्रेस पहने हुए अकेली खड़ी नजर आई।
.
मैंने कार रोकी और उससे पूछा कि,
क्या मैं उसकी कोई सहायता कर सकता हूँ तो उसने कहा
कि,
उसे उसके घर ड्रॉप कर दें तो बड़ी मेहरबानी होगी।
.
मैंने सोचा नींद तो वैसे भी नहीं आ रही है ,
चलो, इसे इसके घर छोड़ देता हूँ।
.
वो मेरी बगल की सीट पर बैठी।
रास्ते में हमने बहुत बातें कीं।
वो बहुत इंटेलिजेंट थी, ढेरों
टॉपिक्स पर उसका कमाण्ड था।
.
जब कार उसके बताए एड्रेस पर पहुँची तो उतरने से
पहले वो बोली कि,
वो मेरे नेचर और व्यवहार से बेहद प्रभावित हुई है और
मुझसे प्यार करने लगी है।
.
मैं खुद भी उसे पसंद करने लगा था।
मैंने उसे बताया कि, मैं यूनिवर्सिटी में प्रोफेसर हूँ।
.
वो बहुत खुश हुई
फिर उसने मुझसे मेरा मोबाइल नंबर लिया और
अपना नंबर दिया।
.
अंत में उसने बताया की, उसका भाई भी
यूनिवर्सिटी में ही पढ़ता है और उसने मुझसे
रिक्वेस्ट की कि,
मैं उसके भाई का ख़याल रखूँ।
.
मैंने कहा कि, तुम्हारे भाई के लिए कुछ भी करने पर
मुझे बेहद खुशी होगी।
क्या नाम है तुम्हारे भाई
का...??
.
इस पर लड़की ने कहा कि, बिना नाम बताए भी
आप उसे पहचान सकते हैं क्योंकि वो सीटी बहुत
ज्यादा और बहुत बढ़िया बजाता है।
.
जैसे ही प्रोफेसर ने सीटी वाली बात की तो,
तुरंत क्लास के सभी स्टूडेंट्स उस छात्र की तरफ
देखने लगे, जिसने प्रोफ़ेसर की पीठ पर सीटी
बजाई थी।
.
प्रोफेसर उस लड़के की तरफ घूमे और उसे घूरते हुए बोले-
बेटा, मैंने अपनी पी एच डी की डिग्री,
घुईयाँ छीलकर हासिल नहीं की है,
हरामखोर निकल क्लास से बाहर...!!

कहदो सलीबों में लहू की प्यास:

"महान विचार केवल विचारशील व्यक्ति की समझ में आते हैं, लेकिन महान कर्म समस्त मानवता को समझ आते हैं। "

इक नए अवतार का पुतला तलाशा जायेगा .....
जुल्म की खातिर नया रस्ता तलाशा जायेगा ....

फिर सलीबों में लहू की प्यास जागी है यहाँ
फिर जहाँ में इक नया ईसा तलाशा जायेगा .....

कह दो इन हसरतों से कहीं और जा बसे..

तेरे मनाने को ही तो रूठ जाते हैं :

जितनी शिद्दत से उसने मुझे झख्म दिए हैं, इतनी शिद्दत से तो मैंने उसे चाह भी नहीं था...

शिकायत है उन्हें कि हमें मोहब्बत करना नही आता; शिकवा तो इस दिल को भी है; पर इसे शिकायत करना नहीं आता।

Among all these wonderful qualities mentioned, where is the Lion in the picture.?

Yet, you say the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.!!

Why??

Because...

The Lion is courageous,

The Lion is very bold,

The Lion is always ready to face any challenges, any barrier that crosses his path, no matter how big/bad they are.!!

The Lion walks with confidence. The Lion dares anything and is never afraid. The Lion believes he is unstoppable. The Lion is a risk taker. The Lion believes any animal is food for him. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a try and never lets it slip from his hands. The Lion has charisma.!!

So...

- What is it that we get to learn from the Lion ??

• You don't need to be the fastest.

• You don't need to be the wisest.

• You don't need to be the smartest.

• You don't need to be the most brilliant.

• You don't need to be generally accepted to achieve your dreams and be great in life.!!

Dealing with Other People’s Road Rage & Letting Go of Anger

It happens all the time…

You’re driving, listening to music, just enjoying life and the feel of the road. Then a car roars past you and the driver promptly swerves and cuts you off, seemingly oblivious to anything but his own destination.

Or, you come to a full stop at a stop sign and the driver behind you lays on the horn, impatient for you to get moving. Glancing in your rear view mirror, you see him flailing his arms and punching a raised fist at you behind his windshield.

Nearly every time you hit the road you will see another driver do something either discourteous or even downright dangerous.

Many times, you are the recipient of that behavior.

If you are anything like I used to be, your first impulse will be to lay on the horn, shout a curse, or put pedal to the metal and try to pass the guy and then cut him off.

Those of you who are less aggressive may at least find yourself wishing you’d come around the next bend and see the guy’s car off the road with a flat tire—or, better yet, see the bright flashing lights of a police cruiser whose uniformed driver has pulled your new worst enemy over.

It’s so easy to get angry. Not so easy to let it go.

As noted at the beginning of this post, the Buddha warned us that the punishment for anger is anger itself. He also said, “Holding on to anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned.”

How right he was.

As you shout curses at the driver, nearly rupturing a vein in your forehead, he has already left you in a cloud of dust. He has no idea you’re yelling. Or if he does, he probably doesn’t even care.

While you sit stewing and dreaming of his immanent intimacy with an overheated radiator (or, admit it, much worse!), he is long gone. But you are trapped in anger that will linger for a few minutes or may even ruin the rest of your day, clouding everything with the bitterness of the mood you fell into after the driving mishap.

Here’s the thing…

That anger is doing you no good.

It isn’t changing the situation.

Instead of shrugging it off and getting on with your life, you’re allowing that one discourteous act to take you from being happy and content to bitter and angry.

But what is a person to do? After all, the slight is perceived and the anger arises, unbidden.

I used to have that same struggle, but I found a cure and I can guarantee if you master this one simple technique, you’ll banish road rage to a cobwebbed corner of your mind where it will die a lonely death.

So what’s the trick, you ask?

As I indicated, it’s very simple (though not necessarily easy to master).

The next time another driver does something that provokes anger in you, do these seven things.

1.   Take a DEEP breath.

2.   Release it.

3.   Repeat.

4.   Now, imagine a person you dearly love.

5.   Imagine this person has just phoned and told you s/he is in desperate need of immediate assistance for an emergency situation and you are the only one who can offer aid.

6.   Imagine how you would be driving in that case.

7.   Now, imagine the person who just provoked you with his/her bad driving is in exactly that predicament.

8.   That’s it!

Initially, your mind may rebel.

You may reason it’s more likely the person is just being a jerk. That may be the case, but can you actually know that?

(And isn’t your angry response very “jerk-like” itself?)

Any number of situations could be at play in that person’s life.

Perhaps it’s a man whose wife is about to give birth and he wants to be by her side. Perhaps it’s a daughter whose father just had a heart attack and she needs to get to the hospital to see him. Or maybe it’s someone who just lost her job and feels distraught. Maybe, just maybe, it really is just someone being rude.

The fact remains that a response of anger on your part only further upsets you and can even lead to acts of violence in extreme cases of road rage.

Is it worth it?

How much better is it to do what I just suggested and then, in a peaceful frame of mind, wish that person well and safely home.

Wouldn’t this world be a better place if we could all do this one, simple thing?

संसार को राजी करना मुश्किल है:

एक साधू किसी नदी के पनघट पर गया और पानी पीकर पत्थर पर सिर रखकर सो गया

पनघट पर पनिहारिन आती-जाती रहती हैं
तो तीन-चार पनिहारिनें पानी के लिए आईं तो एक पनिहारिन ने कहा- "आहा! साधु हो गया, फिर भी तकिए का मोह नहीं गया...
पत्थर का ही सही, लेकिन रखा तो है।"

पनिहारिन की बात साधु ने सुन ली...
उसने तुरंत पत्थर फेंक दिया...
दूसरी बोली,"साधु हुआ, लेकिन खीज नहीं गई.. अभी रोष नहीं गया, तकिया फेंक दिया।" तब साधु सोचने लगा, अब वह क्या करें ?

तब तीसरी पनिहारिन बोली,"बाबा! यह तो पनघट है,
यहां तो हमारी जैसी पनिहारिनें आती ही रहेंगी, बोलती ही रहेंगी, उनके कहने पर तुम बार-बार परिवर्तन करोगे तो साधना कब करोगे?"

लेकिन एक चौथी पनिहारिन ने
बहुत ही सुन्दर और एक बड़ी अद्भुत बात कह दी-
"साधु, क्षमा करना, लेकिन हमको लगता है, तूमने सब कुछ छोड़ा लेकिन अपना चित्त नहीं छोड़ा है, अभी तक वहीं का वहीं बने हुए है।
दुनिया पाखण्डी कहे तो कहे, तूम जैसे भी हो, हरिनाम लेते रहो।" सच तो यही है, दुनिया का तो काम ही है कहना...

आप ऊपर देखकर चलोगे तो कहेंगे... "अभिमानी हो गए।"
नीचे देखकर चलोगे तो कहेंगे... "बस किसी के सामने देखते ही नहीं।"
आंखे बंद कर दोगे तो कहेंगे कि... "ध्यान का नाटक कर रहा है।"
चारो ओर देखोगे तो कहेंगे कि... "निगाह का ठिकाना नहीं। निगाह घूमती ही रहती है।"

और परेशान होकर आंख फोड़ लोगे तो यही दुनिया कहेगी कि... "किया हुआ भोगना ही पड़ता है।"

ईश्वर को राजी करना आसान है,
लेकिन संसार को राजी करना असंभव है
दुनिया क्या कहेगी, उस पर ध्यान दोगे तो
आप अपना ध्यान नहीं लगा पाओगे...

Create a heaven in someone's heart:

Its not important 2 go 2 heaven after v leave this world, Its more important 2 create a heaven in someone's heart before v leave this world!!!!

कभी तो चौंक के देखे कोई हमारी तरफ़,

"सच्चाई का सामना ऐसे कीजिए जैसे कि वह है,

जिंदगी में एक सफ़र ऐसा भी आया था,
जिसमें  पाँव नहीं, मेरा दिल थक गया था..

मिलना लिखा था सीधे हाथ की लकीरों में, बिछडना लिखा था उल्टे हाथ की लकीरों में  |
अच्छा बुरा वक्त देता है उल्टे सीधे अनुभव, फिर क्या रखा था, दोनों हाथ की लकीरों में||

"लोगों को आत्मविश्वास दिलाना ही सबसे ज़रूरी काम है जो मैं कर सकता हूं। क्योंकि तब वे स्वयं कर्म करेंगे।"

आज फिर देखा है मुझे किसी ने मोहोब्बत भरी निगाहों से.....
और एक बार फिर तेरी ख़ातिर मैंने अपनी निगाहें झुका ली

"दो और दो का जोड़ हमेशा
चार कहाँ होता है
सोच-समझवालों को थोड़ी
नादानी दे मौला"

यहाँ सब खामोश है कोई आवाज़ नहीं करता...
सच बोलकर कोई किसी को नाराज़ नहीं करता...!!

हमारे शौक की इन्तहा थी,
कदम रखा कि मंजिल रास्ता थी................

Help in all respect:

In 1892 at _Stanford University_ , an 18-year-old student was struggling to pay his fees. He was an orphan, and not knowing where to turn for money, he came up with a bright idea. He and a friend decided to host a musical concert on campus to raise money for their education.

They reached out to the great pianist *Ignacy J. Paderewski*. His manager demanded a guaranteed fee of $2000 for the piano recital. A deal was struck and the boys began to work to make the concert a success.
The big day arrived. But unfortunately, they had not managed to sell enough tickets. The total collection was only $1600. Disappointed, they went to *Paderewski* and explained their plight. They gave him the entire $1600, plus a cheque for the balance $400. They promised to honour the cheque at the soonest possible.

“No,” said *Paderewski*. “This is not acceptable.” He tore up the cheque, returned the $1600 and told the two boys: “Here’s the $1600. Please deduct whatever expenses you have incurred. Keep the money you need for your fees. And just give me whatever is left”. The boys were surprised, and thanked him profusely.
It was a small act of kindness. But it clearly marked out *Paderewski* as a great human being.
Why should he help two people he did not even know? We all come across situations like these in our lives. And most of us only think “If I help them, what would happen to me?” The truly great people think, “If I don’t help them, what will happen to them?” They don’t do it expecting something in return. They do it because they feel it’s the right thing to do.

*Paderewski* later went on to become the *Prime Minister of Poland*. He was a great leader, but unfortunately when the *World War* began, *Poland* was ravaged. There were more than _1.5 million people starving in his country, and no money to feed them_ . *Paderewski* did not know where to turn for help. He reached out to the *US Food and Relief Administration* for help.
He heard there was a man called *Herbert Hoover* — who later went on to become the *US President*. *Hoover* agreed to help and quickly shipped tons of food grains to feed the starving *Polish* people.
_A calamity was averted_. *Paderewski* was relieved.

He decided to go across to meet *Hoover* and personally thank him. When *Paderewski* began to thank *Hoover* for his _noble gesture_ *Hoover* quickly interjected and said, " *You shouldn’t be thanking me Mr. Prime Minister. You may not remember this, but several years ago, you helped two young students go through college. I was one of them* .”

_The world is a wonderful place. What goes around comes around. Please help others to the best of your ability. In the long run you may be helping yourself. God never forgets anyone who sows a good seed in other people, never_ .

घंटो ख़ामोश रहना पड़ता है:

घंटों ख़ामोश रहना पड़ता है, आप के साथ बोलने के लिए
ख़त्म होता नहीं फूलों का सफ़र,
रोज़ इक शाख़ हिला देता हूँ

जब शाम उतरती है क्या दिल पे गुज़रती है
साहिल ने बहुत पूछा ख़ामोश रहा पानी

रिश्तों की परिभाषा न समझी कभी,न ही भावार्थ जान सके।बस शब्द में ही अटककर शब्दजाल में खो गए।वरना जानते रिश्ता मात्र एक शब्द नहीं पूरा ग्रंथ है

आदमी को सिर्फ वहम है, पास उसके ही इतना गम है,
पूछो हंसते हुए चेहरों से, आंख भीतर से कितनी नम है।

अपनी मिट्टी ही पे चलने का सलीक़ा सीखो,
संग-ए- मरमर पे चलोगे तो फिसल जाओगे

"हम बाहरी दुनिया में तब तक शांति नहीं पा सकते हैं जब तक कि हम अन्दर से शांत न हों।"

पत्थर" मंदिर में जा कर "भगवान" बन जाता हैं,  'लेकिन'
"मानव" नित्य मंदिर जा कर भी "पत्थर" क्यों बन जाता हैं

एक शख़्स देखा है मैंने आइने में,
ख़फ़ा दुनिया से है बात ख़ुद से नहीं करता

उलझा के कुछ देर सवालो मे उनको,
हमने जी भर के देख लिया उनको...

हर आदमी में होते हैं दस बीस आदमी
जिस को भी देखना हो कई बार देखना

In Crown Heights, there was a Jewish man named Yankel, who owned a bakery. He survived the concentration camps, and always said, "You know why it is that I’m alive today?"

"I was a kid, just a teenager at the time. We were on the train being taken to Auschwitz. Night came and it was deathly cold in that boxcar. The Germans would leave the cars on the side of the tracks overnight, sometimes for days on end without any food, and no blankets to keep us warm," he said.

"Sitting next to me was this beloved elderly Jewish man from my hometown. He was shivering from head to toe, and looked terrible. So I wrapped my arms around him to warm him up. I rubbed his arms, his legs, his face, his neck. I begged him to hang on. All night long, I kept the man warm this way.

"I was tired, and freezing cold myself. My fingers were numb, but I didn’t stop rubbing heat into that old man’s body. Hours and hours went by until finally, morning came and the sun began to shine. When there was some light in the boxcar, I looked around to see the other people. To my horror, all I could see were frozen bodies. All I could hear was deathly silence.

"Nobody else in that cabin made it through the night. They died from the cold. Only two people survived: the old man and me. The old man survived because somebody kept him warm...and I survived because I was warming someone else.

"Can I tell you the secret to survival in this world? When you warm other people’s hearts, you remain warm yourself. When you seek to support, encourage and inspire others, then you discover support, encouragement and inspiration in your own life as well. That, my friends, is the secret to life."

What is stopping you:

“I was on my way to work on a two wheeler one day when a truck rammed into me and completely crushed my leg. It wasn’t the driver’s fault - there was a pillar which hindered his vision. People around immediately took me to the hospital and even though it happened around 9:30 am I was only operated upon at 5:30 pm. The doctors tried to save my leg but after a few days it got infected and I had to be amputated. When the doctor told me, I asked him ‘why did you take so long? I knew for a while that this would happen.’
What got me through this whole ordeal is acceptance - that this is my fate, now I can either choose to cry about it, or take it with a pinch of salt and push myself…I picked the latter. In fact when people used to come to visit me in the hospital and get emotional — I would tell them jokes to make them laugh!

So I took the physiotherapy, and began to learn how to walk all over again. My biggest fear was that I wouldn’t be able to play badminton which has been my passion since childhood — but somehow even while I was facing difficulty in walking…I could play. I began winning corporate badminton tournaments, and on the suggestion of one of my amputee friends decided to try out at a National Level. I went on to win several medals at the National level and, this year I won Silver in the Para Badminton World Championship held in England. I’ve trained for 5 hours a day, whilst juggling my job as a software engineer, almost completed my training in Scuba Diving and traveled pretty much all over India.

When people ask me, ‘how do you do so much?’ I just ask one question — ‘what’s stopping you?’" :)

    एक पिता ने अपने पुत्र की बहुत अच्छी तरह से परवरिश की !उसे अच्छी तरह से पढ़ाया, लिखाया, तथा उसकी सभी सुकामनांओ की पूर्ती की !
कालान्तर में वह पुत्र एक सफल इंसान बना और एक मल्टी नैशनल कंपनी में सी.ई.ओ. बन गया !
उच्च पद ,अच्छा वेतन, सभी सुख सुविधांए उसे कंपनी की और से प्रदान की गई !

समय गुजरता गया उसका विवाह एक सुलक्षणा कन्या से हो गया,और उसके एक सुन्दर कन्या भी हो गई !

पिता अब बूढा हो चला था ! एक दिन पिता को पुत्र से मिलने की इच्छा हुई और वो पुत्र से मिलने उसके ऑफिस में गया.....!!!

वहां  उसने देखा कि..... उसका पुत्र एक शानदार ऑफिस का अधिकारी बना  हुआ है, उसके ऑफिस में सैंकड़ो कर्मचारी  उसके अधीन कार्य कर रहे है... !
ये सब देख कर पिता का सीना गर्व से फूल गया !
वो चुपके से उसके चेंबर में पीछे से जाकर उसके कंधे पर हाथ रख कर खड़ा हो गया !
और प्यार से अपने पुत्र से पूछा...
"इस दुनिया का सबसे शक्तिशाली इंसान कौन है"? पुत्र ने पिता को बड़े प्यार से हंसते हुए कहा "मेरे अलावा कौन हो सकता है पिताजी "!

पिता को इस जवाब की  आशा नहीं थी, उसे विश्वास था कि उसका बेटा गर्व से कहेगा पिताजी इस दुनिया के सब से शक्तिशाली इंसान आप हैैं, जिन्होंने मुझे इतना योग्य बनाया !

उनकी आँखे छलछला आई ! वो चेंबर के गेट को खोल कर बाहर निकलने लगे !

उन्होंने एक बार पीछे मुड़ कर पुनः बेटे से पूछा एक बार फिर बताओ इस दुनिया का सब से शक्तिशाली इंसान कौन है ???
पुत्र ने  इस बार कहा
       "पिताजी आप हैैं, इस दुनिया के सब से शक्तिशाली इंसान "!
पिता सुनकर आश्चर्यचकित हो गए उन्होंने कहा "अभी तो तुम अपने आप को इस दुनिया का सब से शक्तिशाली इंसान बता रहे थे अब तुम मुझे बता रहे हो " ???

पुत्र ने हंसते हुए उन्हें अपने सामने बिठाते  हुए कहा "पिताजी उस समय आप का हाथ मेरे कंधे पर था, जिस पुत्र के कंधे पर या सिर पर पिता का हाथ हो वो पुत्र तो दुनिया का सबसे शक्तिशाली इंसान ही होगा ना,,,,,
बोलिए पिताजी"  !
पिता की आँखे भर आई उन्होंने अपने पुत्र को कस कर के अपने गले लग लिया !

सच है जिस के कंधे पर या सिर पर पिता का हाथ होता है, वो इस दुनिया का सब से शक्तिशाली इंसान होता है !

      सदैव बुजुर्गों का सम्मान करें!!!!
     हमारी सफलता के पीछे वे ही हैं...

Little Girl:

A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands.

Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile; my sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples?

The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other.

The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.

*Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum,and said: mummy, here you are. This is the sweeter one.*

What a brakes:

Why do we have brakes in a Car?
The answer will blow your mind...

Someone asked, "Why do we have brakes in a car"?

Varied answers were received, like,
"To stop",
"To reduce speed",
"To avoid collision" etc.,

but the best answer was,
"To enable you to drive faster"

Give it a thought. It's true but seldom such smart out of box thinking is done,  much less appreciated.

It's because of brakes that we can dare to accelerate, dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire.

At various points in life, we find our parents,teachers, mentors, friends and spouse etc. questioning your progress, direction or decision. We consider them as irritants or consider such inquiries as "brakes" to our ongoing work.

But, remember, it's because of such questions (read periodical brakes) that you have managed to reach where you are today. Without brakes, you could have skid, lost direction or gone astray or met with an unfortunate accident  !!!. 

Learn to appreciate the 'brakes' in your life.
Use them wisely....

दही का इंतज़ाम:

दही का इन्तजाम

गुप्ता जी जब लगभग पैंतालीस वर्ष के थे तब उनकी पत्नी का स्वर्गवास हो गया था। लोगों ने दूसरी शादी की सलाह दी परन्तु गुप्ता जी ने यह कहकर मना कर दिया कि पुत्र के रूप में पत्नी की दी हुई भेंट मेरे पास हैं, इसी के साथ पूरी जिन्दगी अच्छे से कट जाएगी।

पुत्र जब वयस्क हुआ तो गुप्ता जी ने पूरा कारोबार पुत्र के हवाले कर दिया। स्वयं कभी मंदिर और आॅफिस में बैठकर समय व्यतीत करने लगे।

पुत्र की शादी के बाद गुप्ता जी और अधिक निश्चित हो गये। पूरा घर बहू को सुपुर्द कर दिया।

पुत्र की शादी के लगभग एक वर्ष बाद दुपहरी में गुप्ता जी खाना खा रहे थे, पुत्र भी ऑफिस से आ गया था और हाथ–मुँह धोकर खाना खाने की तैयारी कर रहा था।

उसने सुना कि पिता जी ने बहू से खाने के साथ दही माँगा और बहू ने जवाब दिया कि आज घर में दही उपलब्ध नहीं है। खाना खाकर पिताजी ऑफिस चले गये।

पुत्र अपनी पत्नी के साथ खाना खाने बैठा। खाने में प्याला भरा हुआ दही भी था। पुत्र ने कोई प्रतिक्रिया नहीं दी और खाना खाकर स्वयं भी ऑफिस चला गया।

लगभग दस दिन बाद पुत्र ने गुप्ता जी से कहा- ‘‘ पापा आज आपको कोर्ट चलना है,आज आपका विवाह होने जा रहा है।’’

पिता ने आश्चर्य से पुत्र की तरफ देखा और कहा-‘‘बेटा मुझे पत्नी की आवश्यकता नही है और मैं तुझे इतना स्नेह देता हूँ कि शायद तुझे भी माँ की जरूरत नहीं है, फिर दूसरा विवाह क्यों?’’

पुत्र ने कहा ‘‘ पिता जी, न तो मै अपने लिए माँ ला रहा हूँ न आपके लिए पत्नी,
मैं तो केवल आपके लिये दही का इन्तजाम कर रहा हूँ।

कल से मै किराए के मकान मे आपकी बहू के साथ रहूँगा तथा ऑफिस मे एक कर्मचारी की तरह वेतन लूँगा ताकि आपकी बहू को दही की कीमत का पता चले।’’
