A Bowl of Noodles from a Stranger

That night, Sue quarreled with her mother, then stormed out of the house. While enroute, she remembered that she did not have any money in her pocket, she did not even have enough coins to make a phone call home.

At the same time, she went through a noodle shop, picking up sweet fragrance, she suddenly felt very hungry. She wished for a bowl of noodles, but she had no money!

The seller saw her standing wheat faltered before the counter and asked:

- Hey little girl, you want to eat a bowl?

- But … but I do not carry money … she shyly replied.

- Okay, I’ll treat you – the seller said – come in, I will cook you a bowl.

A few minutes later the owner brought her a steaming bowl of noodles. Ate some pieces, Sue cried.

- What is it? – He asked.

- Nothing. I am just touched by your kindness! – Sue said as she wiped her tears.

- Even a stranger on the street gives me a bowl of noodles, and my mother, after a quarrel, chased me out of the house. She is cruel!!

The seller sighed:

- Girl, why did you think so? Think again. I only gave you a bowl of noodles and you felt that way. Your mother had raised you since you were little, why were you not grateful and disobeyed your mom?

Sue was really surprised after hearing that.

“Why did I not think of that? A bowl of noodles from a stranger made me feel indebted, and my mother has raised me since I was little and I have never felt so, even a little.”

On the way home, Sue thought in her head what she would say to her mother when she arrives home: “Mom, I’m sorry. I know it is my fault, please forgive me ”

Once up the steps, Sue saw her mother worried and tired of looking for her everywhere. Upon seeing Sue, her mother gently said: “Sue, come inside honey. You are probably very hungry? I cooked rice and prepared the meal already, come eat while it is still hot …”

Can not control any longer, Sue cried in her mom’s hands.

In life, we sometimes easy to appreciate the small actions of some people around us, but for the relatives, especially parents, we see their sacrifices as a matter of natural …

Parental love and concern are the most precious gifts we have been given since birth.

Parents do not expect us to pay back for nurturing us …… but have we ever appreciated or treasure the unconditional sacrifice of our parents?

WHERE DOES IT END?

In our quest to become a good human being, we have to face a tough enemy called "GREED". Greed is nothing but the endless desire to get more and more things in life. Greed is what dictates our actions and thoughts, if we aren’t cautious enough.
There is a story about a wealthy farmer who was once offered all the land he could walk on in a day, provided he came back by sundown to the point where he started.
To get a new start, early the next morning the farmer started covering ground quickly because he wanted to get as much land as he could. Even though he was tired, he kept going all afternoon because he didn't want to miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to gain more wealth.
Late in the afternoon he realized the condition he had to fulfill to get the land was to get back to the starting point by sundown. His greed had gotten him far enough. He started his return journey, keeping an eye on how close he was to sundown. The closer it got to sundown, the faster he ran. He was exhausted, out of breath and pushed himself beyond the point of endurance. He collapsed upon reaching the starting point and died. He did make it before sundown. He was buried and all the land he needed was a small plot.

There is a lot of truth in this story and a lesson to be learned. Whether the farmer was wealthy or not, any greedy person would have ended the same way.
Don't let greed over come you. Because it can make you do some horrible stuff that you will regret !
Learn to overcome greed, and you’ll be on your way towards living a simple and meaningful life.
If we desire to live lives of depth and meaning, we must have the courage to examine honestly where our treasures lie and avoid the pitfalls that result from greed, selfishness, and overindulgence.
Let us each remember:
  • First: Not to confuse wants with needs.
  • Second: Avoid spoiling our children.
  • Third: Live modestly and avoid debt.
  • Fourth: Be generous in giving to others.

LUCK FAVORS THOSE WHO HELP THEMSELVES

Ever heard of the saying, ‘Fortune favors the bold’? Well, believe it or not, people who come out as winners are often the ones who are willing to take the risk and are bold in their actions. Those who are not willing to do things differently or think bravely, lead ordinary lives, without any scope for success.
Be it at the university or at the workplace, those who are willing to go the extra mile are the ones who succeed. People often say that God only helps those who help themselves. In fact, only when you work hard to achieve something will the Goddess of Luck shower you with fortune to make you successful.
A flood was threatening a small town and everyone was leaving for safety except one man who said, "God will save me. I have faith."
As the water level rose a jeep came to rescue him, the man refused, saying "God will save me. I have faith."
As the water level rose further, he went up to the second storey, and a boat came to help him. Again he refused to go, Belying, "God will save me. I have faith."
The water kept rising and the man climbed on to the roof. A helicopter came to rescue him, but he said, "God will save me. I have faith." Well, finally he drowned.
When he reached his Maker he angrily questioned, "I had complete faith in you. Why did you ignore my prayers and let me drown?" The Lord replied, "Who do you think sent you the jeep, the boat, and the helicopter?"

The only way to overcome the fatalistic attitude is to accept responsibility and believe in the law of cause and effect rather than luck.

It takes action, preparation and planning rather than waiting, wondering or wishing, to accomplish anything in life.
When you have the burning desire inside of you to win a race or excel at something, the universe conspires to make it happen. This is what we mean by luck, which includes your determination to succeed and the support from people around you
If a man does not venture into the unknown, he will surely not gain anything. Mahatma Gandhi was one of the few men who dared to venture into the unknown and was so determined to win that he gained the love and support of Indians in his fight for the country’s independence. Nobody knew if he was going to be successful in his mission but because he was daring and determined to win, that luck favored him.
Remember this saying when you set your heart on a task, ‘Nothing ventured, nothing gained’. Unless you dare to venture into the unknown with an adventurous spirit, you will not gain anything in life !

Life is an Echo !!!

We sometimes forget how important our words really are. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. We need to remember to speak positive words when the circumstances of life urges us to be negative and pessimistic.

I have been thinking about the power of words lately and when I came across this story, I thought it would be good to include in the message. As you read this story, I want you to think about the words that you are speaking concerning your life. Are you speaking words of blessing and prosperity or are you speaking words of defeat and misery? I hope this story ministers to your heart to be positive no matter what the circumstances are and no matter how hard the enemy is trying to discourage you.

A son and his father were walking in the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?" He receives the answer: "Who are you?"

Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!" He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"

The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."
And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!" The voice answers: "I admire you!"

Again the man screams: "You are a champion!" The voice answers: "You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains:
People call this an echo, but really this is life. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; life will give you back everything you have given to it.

We are not always conscious to the fact that our words are creators. We either create life by the words that we speak or we create our own downfalls by the words that we speak. We are snared by the words of our mouth, meaning that by our negative words we are directing our life in the wrong direction instead of the positive words that lead our life in the right direction.

Born 2 Win, Conditioned 2 Lose...

This story focuses mostly on our self image and how it affects our success, attitude and pursuits. The quote “Born to win, conditioned to lose” has so much depth. Read on !
This above story really stuck out and prompted one of those “stop and reflect” moments.
For eg.. if you desire success, however you define it, then why would you allow anyone to take that from you?
If you go against the grain, if you dream of great things, if you want to do things that make a difference not only for yourself but others around you and have a goal of building something that will outlive you…do it.
Find others that think like you. Get around those that encourage you. Pursue people that are willing to help you. You are born to win. Condition yourself intentionally to believe it, see it, live it and accomplish it.
You are where you are because of choices you made. You’ve been conditioned to some extent in all areas of your life. Choose to be conditioned and believe that you can accomplish anything you truly desire. Why not? If others doubt or try and stop you and don’t encourage you, ask yourself how you are choosing to be conditioned.
You’re Born To Win, Now Condition Yourself To Win.
Believe in Better and Live Victoriously!
Good Luck !!!

Importance of the Right Attitude !!!

One of the most important steps you can take toward achieving your greatest potential in life is to learn to monitor your attitude and its impact on your work performance, relationships and everyone around you.
There was a man who made living selling balloons at a fair. He had all colors of balloons Including red, yellow, green.
Whenever business was slow, he would release a helium filled balloons into the air and when the children saw it go up, they all wanted to buy one. They would come up to him, buy a balloon and his sales would go up again. He continues this process all day.
One day, he felt something tugging his jacket. He turned around and saw a little boy who asked,” If you release a black balloon, would that also fly?” Moved by the boy’s concern, the man replied with empathy.” Son, it is not the Color of the balloon, it is what inside that makes it go up.”
The same thing applies to our lives. It is what is inside that counts. The thing inside of us that makes is go up is our attitude.
Your mind is a computer that can be programmed. You can choose whether the software installed is productive or unproductive. Your inner dialogue is the software that programs your attitude, which determines how you present yourself to the world around you. You have control over the programming. Whatever you put into it is reflected in what comes out.
Many of us have behavior patterns today that were programmed into our brains at a very tender age. The information that was recorded by our brains could have been completely inaccurate or cruel. The sad reality of life is that we will continue to hear negative information, but we don’t have to program it into our brains, do we ???
We all have a choice. We can choose an inner dialogue of self-encouragement and self-motivation, or we can choose one of self-defeat and self-pity. It’s a power we all have. Each of us encounters hard times, hurt feelings, heartache, and physical and emotional pain. The key is to realize it’s not what happens to you that matters; it’s how you choose to respond.
The loudest and most influential voice you hear is your own inner voice, your selfcritic. It can work for or against you, depending on the messages you allow. It can be optimistic or pessimistic. It can wear you down or cheer you on. You control the sender and the receiver, but only if you consciously take responsibility for and control over your inner conversation.
So are you going to programme your mind positively from this moment onwards !!!
